Syria: Doctors Without Borders warn Assad regime is bombing hospitals

Doctors Without Borders issued a statement on Friday, August 14th saying the Assad regime is deliberately and increasingly targeting hospitals, medical facilities and medical staff in its attacks.
This organization in its recent statement condemned attacks on three of its hospitals in Idlib Province, and also six other attacks against medical facilities in western Syria.
Targeted attacks on medical facilities by forces loyal to Bashar Assad are complete violations of international laws, this NGO said.
In attacks taking place from August 7th to the 10th hospitals and clinics were targeted with three hospital staff members, one patient and three other civilians being killed.
Doctors Without Borders have also said providing medical care in some areas have become very difficult due to the increasing airstrikes and as a result the destruction of facilities and vehicles, and the probable lack of any repairs or service & maintenance.
Airstrikes have the ability to depict the nature of the targets, and these hospitals are known sites, said a director of this organization. These sites must be respected as neutral grounds to allow civilians enjoy access to medical care in secure conditions, he added.
