A number of defected soldiers from the Syrian regime have formed a unit with the goal of liberating the capital Damascus and overthrowing Bashar Assad.
“Our first objective is to overthrow the regime and liberate the city of Damascus as the capital. In this city there are key targets and we are taking action to achieve this goal,” said one officer.
“The goal of establishing this group is to overthrow this regime as quickly as possible,” another officer said.
