The criminal Assad regime has been blocking the delivery of humanitarian aid into besieged areas across Syria, Al Arabiya TV reported. This is equivalent to war crimes.
The US government once again called on the Assad regime to not block humanitarian aid to areas besieged by government forces where over 100,000 people are living. Washington also called on Assad to abide by international community agreements in this regard and stop stonewalling in this regard.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is to issue a new report next month to the Security Council calling on Member States to pressure the Assad regime to allow this vital aid into the besieged areas. The population of these areas adds up to over 250,000 people and this request also includes millions of other Syrians who have taken refuge outside the country.
