Assad’s advance on the opposition forces was repelled after 35 Syrian government forces were killed and dozens of others injured in Damascus suburb of Jobar and other area around the capital, according to the Orient Television report. The opposition forces said 4 military vehicles were destroyed and others captured. 
In clashes reported in different area of the country, dozens of government forces have been reported killed and wounded and at least 2 anti-aircraft guns seized by the rebels.
