National Security Advisor Susan Rice said the White House won’t be rushed into accepting an agreement to curb Iran’s nuclear program, even though time is running out to reach such a historic deal, according to Today website, June 19, 2015.
“It’s not us that’s under crushing sanctions,” she told TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie. “The president has been absolutely clear — all of us are clear — no deal is better than a bad deal. And there will not be a bad deal.”
Rice admitted, however, that the Obama administration’s chance of meeting the June 30 deadline with Iran is barely better than a coin flip.
“Not much higher than that, to be quite frank,” she said. “Maybe, depending on the day of the week, 60-40, but there’s still some tough issues to be resolved.”.
