According to Baghdad TV, Supreme Committee of the Southern Iraqi Tribal Sheikhs that consists of the most prominent Arab tribes in southern Iraq, in a statement addressed to Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary General, and Arab League asked for immediate measure to stop the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq.

Baghdad TV reported: This Committee asked the Arab countries to stand by the Iraqi people against domination of the Iranian regime in the Iraqi southern provinces because Iran’s objective is to divide and fragment Iraq.
