Sheikh Abdol-Mahdi al-Karbalaie, representative of Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani in Iraq, emphasized on the importance of taking part in the elections, changing the security and political situation and stopping the corruption.
“Despite massive revenue for Iraq from oil sales there have been no real plans for progress… millions of people are living in poverty… financial and administrative corruption have spread further to a point that Iraq has been listed among the countries with the most corruption,” he added.
