On the crisis between Maliki’s government and the Kurdistan region, Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani has called on the central government to refrain from bloody conflicts between Iraqis, Al Jazeera reported.
Citing Al-Hayat daily, Al Jazeera added also Ayatollah Hossein Sadr said in this regard senior Shiite clergy in Iraq have issued fatwas in the past condemning war with the Kurds and they continue to abide by these fatwas.
