Senior Lebanese politicians condemn Jalili’s trip to Lebanon

Former Lebanese prime minister Sa’ad Hariri and renowned politician Walid Jumblatt condemned the visit of Iranian regime’s senior envoy Jalili to Lebanon. Based on a report aired by al-Jazeera TV citing Lebanese daily al-Safir, the former prime minister said this visit is not welcomed in Lebanon.
“We view with special concern the objectives of this meeting because this visit is taking place following Waleed Mualem’s (Assad’s top diplomat) visit to Tehran,” Hariri said.
“The Iranian regime must know that threats and suspicious measures are of no value and will not delay the imminent overthrow of its ally Bashar Assad,” the former Lebanese prime minister said.
This report added Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt called on Jalili to concentrate on the affairs of his own government where protests have started in various regions, known as the chicken protests, because the price of chicken in Tehran is more than the price of a missile.
