Iraqi Parliamentary Human Rights Commission Chairman Salim Al Jabouri condemned the crimes taking place against women in Maliki’s prisons, the NINA news agency reported.
“Remarks made by women released from government prisons reveal various types of hideous tortures. The Human Rights Commission has uncovered increasing cases of torture and psychological pressure imposed against detainees in government prisons,” the statement issued by Al Jabouri reveals.
This MP called on all Iraqi women prisoners to refer to the Human Rights Commission to issue their legal complaints in order to condemn the officers and prison officials who took aggressive measures against them.
The Human Rights Commission will not reveal the identities of the prisoners, he insisted.
