On Thursday, Brig. Gen. Mahmoud Farhadi was arrested by the U.S. forces in the Palace Hotel in Suleimania, Iraq. He is one of the most ruthless Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force commanders.
Farhadi currently is the Deputy Commander and senior intelligence officer of Quds Force’s Zafar Tactical Base in Kermanshah. The main base is called Ramadan which has four tactical bases along the 1,200 kilometers border with Iraq. Zafar is located in the western city of Kermanshah overseeing the entire Quds Forces’ operations in the eastern and central Iraq.
After the 8-yr long Iran-Iraq war, over 150 terrorist operations of the mullahs’ regime against the PMOI were designed and directed by Ramadan Base .
The Iranian Ambassador to Iraq Hassan Kazemi-Qomi on Saturday rushed in to clean up Farhadi’s links to the Quds Force and Zafar Base by saying, “They [U.S. forces] have arrested the deputy governor of Kermanshah province who was on an official visit to Kurdistan for promoting regional commercial ties.”
No matter what mullahs claim, Farhadi is one of the most important commanders of the Quds Force in Iraq.
