Senator John McCain, a senior member of the Senate Republicans in the United States, on Thursday called on the Obama national security team to step down due to the security status crumbling in Iraq.
McCain held Obama and his national security team responsible for this crumbling, saying Obama is responsible for pulling out US forces from Iraq and calling back generals who were successful in the security architecture of the war-torn Iraq.
McCain specifically demanded General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staffs, to be set aside.
