Ayad Jamal ad-Din, prominent Shiite cleric and leader of the Freedom Assembly described Saudi King Abdullah’s invitation as Iraq’s savior and savior of the region from the Iranian regime crises saying, “We take our honorable brother King Abdullah’s hand in his honorable invitation to save Iraq and the region.”
Answering al-Arabiya TV’s question that various critics believe this invitation took place after a call between King Abdullah with the Iranian president, Ayad Jamal ad-Din said: “In my opinion the Iranian regime itself is a part of the crisis and cannot be part of the solution.”
