Satterfield: attacks by Iran’s supported armed groups in Iraq rose in recent months

David Satterfield, Iraq coordinator and senior adviser to US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, emphasized that the number of attacks by the Iranian supported armed militia groups have increased in recent months.

Al-Hurra TV which broadcasted his remarks cited him that the Iranian regime’s strategy is the withdrawal of the US forces from Iraq with heaviest price.

Satterfield added: We believe the Iranian regime insists on withdrawal of US forces from Iraq at hardest conditions; the objective of this strategy by Iran is to achieve its ambitions inside Iraq and in the whole region. Regime tries to implement its international ambitions through its nuclear program.
