In an interview with Al-Jazeera TV, Dr. Saleh Mutlaq, leader of the Iraqi Front for National Dialogue, called Diyala province’s police chief who is involved in murder and crimes affiliated with Badr militias and asked for his dismissal. He also asked for purge of the Iraqi security institutions from saboteurs and wicked gangs.

Dr. Mutlaq emphasized: Diyala security systems are under control of elements that mistreat the people; this is not the first time that we witness assault of police system and specifically the police chief against Diyala people. Our people have risen unanimously to save their province of the impasse they live in; this impasse shows itself based on identity, forcible immigration and ransack of their properties.

The leader of the Iraqi Front for National Dialogue stressed: The widespread demonstrations which were held in Diyala is the best indication that the police chief is not eligible for that organ.
In response to Al-Jazeera TV question on which militia group the Diyala police chief is affiliated, he said: He is affiliated to Badr militias which are active in arresting and forcibly displacing the people.
