RWB condemned violation of freedom of expression and suppression of reporters in Iran

The Reporters without Borders (RWB) condemned violation of freedom of expression and suppression of reporters by the clerical regime.

The organization’s report reads: Since the beginning of 2008, 17 publications have been shut down or their permission has been dismissed, and simultaneously the press is faced with arbitrary suppression of the Iranian government.

The Iranian regime uses suppressive regulations in order to silence press.

RWB also announced: The families of detained reporters are threatened by Iranian regime’s security entities to keep silent about the prisoners’ condition.
