Revelation of new secret prisons in Iraq

Asharqiya TV, March 20, 2011 – The Iraqi Human Rights organizations revealed new secret prisons in Iraq that the government has prevented accessing to them including the First, Fourth and Thirteenth precincts of Rassafa Prison in Baghdad.
The Iraqi Human Rights organization in Baghdad announced that the Justice Ministry supervise and controls only 15 percent of the Iraqi prisons whilst 85 percent of the Iraqi prisons are under supervision and control of parties connected to the executive force and are misusing the silence of the Human Rights organizations regarding to these prisons.
This organization underscored that it had the files of over 180 prisoners whose judicial release verdicts had been issued but the executive force has not issued their release verdicts due to unknown reasons.
