The Reporters without Borders released a statement expressing concern on the approval of the bill by Iran’s parliament that would step up suppression. This organization called the capital punishment for crimes such as setting up and running web logs as terrible, and announced that approval of such an act based on vague definitions and concepts, and granting judges the authority for interpretation will have disastrous consequences for freedom of expression.

According to this bill that was approved last week in the Iranian parliament, the individuals convicted of “disorder in psychological security” through internet will be liable to punishments such as execution, while such a punishment is not reducible, convertible and could not be suspended.
