
Asharq al-Awsat daily, published in London, citing intelligence sources wrote: employing Hizbullah, the Iranian regime carries out terrorist operations in some Iraqi provinces including Basra, Al-Imara, Najaf and Baghdad.
The daily added: a former Iranian regime’s military official with the alias Colonel Haj Reza who left Turkey for a European country several weeks ago, while confirming the US officials’ remarks regarding Iraqi militias’ training in Iran, said: Te Iranian Intelligence Ministry (MIOS) and the Qods Force have provided a list of the Iranian regime’s opposition in Iraq. This list is getting longer every day and includes Iraqi high ranking officials, party leaders and some prominent personalities.
This former military official said: After heavy blows the Qods Force received last month from the US forces and Iraqi Army and the Awakening Councils in Baquba, Al-Imara, Basra and Sadr City, the Qods Force follows a new strategy in Iraq which is formation of special groups consisting 5 to 9 people and their military and ideological training .
