
In Iraq, protests, sit-ins and demonstrations continued throughout the country on Monday in al-Anbar, Mosul and Salahaddin provinces, where angry demonstrators emphasized yet again on continuing their rallies until all their demands are met.
The Kirkuk Tribal Council called on all Iraqis to declare their solidarity with the protesters of al-Anbar, Mosul and Salahaddin.
In al-Anbar, a call has been placed for a grand demonstration by women to protest torture and harassment of women in Maliki’s prisons.
The Council of Ministers of Maliki’s government issued a statement announcing the civil disobedience carried out by the protesters as illegal and demanded such measures to be brought to an end.
The Arab League on Monday called on all parties involved in the Iraqi political crisis to carry out real and serious talks to reform the country’s conditions.
