For the first time Pope Francis was permitted to fly over Chinese airspace in his visit to the Far East. In his visit to Seoul, the pontiff was welcomed by South Korean officials and the people, and in a speech he thanked the Chinese president.
In his 5 day visit Pope Francis will be attending many ceremonies where he will call for an end to the enmity between the North and South.
The Pope’s call for peace comes at a time when North Korea test fired three rockets to the sea only hours before the Pope’s entrance into South Korea.
