The Kurdistan Regional Government described the Maliki government’s request to merge Kurdistan’s Pishmarga forces with the Iraqi Ministry of Defense as imaginations and dreams, which the Kurdistan Region will never give in to.
The Pishmarga Ministry Deputy announced that the merge of the Pishmarga forces with Iraq’s Ministry of Defense is merely a dream, The Kurdish Peyamner News Agency (PNA) reported from Erbil Iraq.
The Iraqi Government has left out the paragraph in its next year budget plan, which provides the budget of the Kurdistan Region Pishmarga forces, wanting to merge these forces with the Ministry of Defense, the PNA report added. 
In reaction to this issue, Anwar Haji Othman, Pishmarga Ministry Deputy, told the PNA: “Such an act will never take place and this is merely the Iraqi Government’s dream”.
“The Kurdistan Region will not give in to such demands by the Iraqi Government”.
