INTV, 5 Nov 2013 – Pierre Bercis, Chair of New Human Rights Society in France, issued a letter to the UNESCO president protesting the presence of Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in this world body.

This letter reads in part:

“I was very surprised to hear of the visit by Iran’s foreign minister at UNESCO. You are aware of him belonging to a regime that is bent on obtaining dangerous nuclear weapons and the fact that from 34 years ago this regime has always sought to enforce suffering to its own people: murder, crackdown on freedom of speech, executions, torture and other crimes. This is a truth that is against all the causes of the UN, especially UNESCO.”
