In a session held last night at the headquarters of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Ramallah, PLO Executive Bureau Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and 9 other members of this presented their resignations, Al Jazeera TV reported late on Saturday, August 22nd. This resignation is aimed at holding the National Council to elect a new executive committee in the next 30 days.
This measure has been carried out to strengthen the foundation of the PLO leadership in the face of grave challenges.
