Syrian rebels declared Thursday morning, June 25 was the beginning of widespread attacks on Assad’s forces in the city of Daraa in southern Syria.
Al Jazeera TV rebels in the Mattahen region and the water department in this area were the first lines of defense in the protected areas of Assad’s forces, which were targeted by missiles and artillery fire. Syrian rebels have named these attacks as Operation Southern Storm and they intend to liberate the city of Daraa.
