Obama pledges to increase pressure on Assad

While Syria peace talks in Geneva seem to be stuck, US President Barack Obama promised to increase further pressure on the Assad regime.
Obama’s remarks came during his meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Palm Springs of southern California on issues including Syrian refugees flooding into Jordan.
Obama said both leaders assess that the world cannot cure the signs of this crisis and emphasize a problem named Bashar Assad that gives the least importance his people’s welfare.
A political change is needed in the region, Obama said.
It is expected for this problem to be resolved in the short-term; therefore urgent measures must be taken to help the humanitarian situation on the ground, he added.
