Sheikh Ali Hatam, emir of Iraq’s Doleim tribe, issued a statement on behalf of the armed tribes’ sheikhs and members saying there will be no ceasefire before Maliki’s military forces pull out of Anbar Province.
“There is no solution in Anbar before Maliki’s military forces pull out of this province, and before the military forces exit there must be a committee established to fill this security void,” he said.
A large of Maliki’s military forces in Ban Zeid fled the scene after clashes with armed tribes, al-Rafedein TV reported citing the rebels high military council. Based on this report a Maliki vehicle was also destroyed in northern Mosul.
