The Latakia News Network in Syria said Free Syrian Army rebels have taken control over three strategic hilltops in the area of watchtower 45 in Latakia, Orient TV reported on May 4th. This victory comes after heavy battles where the Assad regime has suffered major casualties and lost much weaponry. The rebels have announced the road connecting the city of Kasab and Jabal Turkiman are now under their control.
