After being elected as the new Syrian National Coalition President, Hadi al-Bahra in an interview called on all of Syria’s political and military forces, along with the people, to establish a united front to defend the Syrian people’s freedom and dignity and help reach the goals of the Syrian revolution.
“We must make the world understand that our revolution is an anti-dictatorship revolution and its goal is to reestablish the Syrian people’s legal and human rights and establish a democratic and pluralistic government where the Syrian people, with any religion or ethnicity, will enjoy equal opportunities to reach their goals. We have sacrificed thousands of martyrs in the path of establishing democratic and pluralistic governments…. The only solution to end the humanitarian crisis in Syria is not in lending humanitarian support to its people, but in overthrowing the dictatorial regime ruling Syria,” he said.
