Egyptian President Abdulfattah al-Sisi has accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab.
President al-Sisi then went on to appoint Oil Minister Sharif Ismaeel as the new prime minister to form a cabinet. Ibrahim Mahlab will remain in his post until the new cabinet is formed.
