On Sunday, a large number of clerics in the southern Iraqi holy city of Najaf staged a demonstration condemning the insults of Nouri Maliki’s government against religious figures.
According to a report aired by al-Hurra TV, this demonstration began at the 20th Revolution Square and ended at Imam Ali shrine located in the ciy center.
The demonstrators issued a final statement condemning the insulting remarks made by Nouri Maliki’s government against religious figures.
