In an interview with Fox News, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Navy Adm. Mike Mullen described the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq as part of its strategy for advancing its intentions, and underscored that the US is monitoring all these measures.

Adm. Mike Mullen said: This is Iran’s strategy to send special groups to Iraq; the Iranian regime’s agents train these people inside Iran and then send them to Iraq. This is Iran’s strategy that a weak government be in power in Iraq in order to continue its meddling in that country.

Mullen added that the US monitors Iran’s actions closely.
