Mullen: Iran’s developing nuclear weapon is still of great concern

Foreign Press Center Briefing,Washington, DC January 28, 2009 Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff said in the FPC Briefin (excerpts):
Adm Mullen :
The issue with respect to Iran developing nuclear weapons is still of great concern to me. I consider it to be — to that possibility to potentially be very destabilizing in a region that doesn’t have a lot of stability right now, although we’re working in a more positive direction
I don’t think the new administration has taken any options off the table, including military force. And I have believed for a long time that that’s a very important part of the overall – if you have options, that that’s a very important part of it – the ability to back it up. I believe it’s got to be last resort, and so in that regard it’s – again, I’ve seen nothing that would indicate that that’s changed at all.
