In the official European Parliament session in Strasbourg, a number of representatives from different parliamentary groups defended the resolutions of condemnation of the clerical regime for violation of human right and execution of juveniles in Iran; they condemned the appeasement policy of the European Union with the religious fascism and asked for removal of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the EU terrorist list.
Dr. Marius Matsakis, Member of European Parliament from Cyprus and from the group of Union of European Liberals and Democrats, said: The brutal treatment of the mullahs religious dictatorship against the Iranian people is well known for us and has been the subject of previous EP resolutions .Outside Iran, the Iranians are trying for a struggle for democratic change in Iran, a sample of these persons are those belonging to PMOI, however, the EU has put this organization in the terrorist organizations , my question from Mr. commissionaire is why the Iranian Resistance Movement was put in the terrorist list, Was it because some member countries or one of them had lucrative trade deals with Iran and wanted to appease Tehran regime so.
Paulo Casaca, Co-Chair of the Friends of a Free Iran, Socialist Group, from Portugal, said: The reason we have gathered here is the systematic violation of human rights by Iran and this is a basic issue. What the Iranian regime does in this field is a kind of terrorism, when we look at the EU authorities behavior this question comes in mind that why we negotiate with the terrorist regime ruling Iran and as Mr. Matsakis pointed out accuse those who have stood against it like the PMOI of terrorism.
