The Committee in Support of Reporters listed Syria as the most dangerous country in the world for reporters, and Iraq as the worst country where murderers of reporters are not held accountable, Al Arabiya TV reported April 17th. This New York-based independent organization in its annual report warned of unprecedented kidnapping and killing of reporters in Syria.
The Committee in Support of Reporters has registered an unparalleled 60 counts of reporters being murdered and kidnapped, describing this as a deliberate massacre of reporters. This report also indicates if Syria is a dangerous country for reporters, Iraqi is worse due to lack of accountability of reporter murderers. This is not an exceptional phenomenon in Iraq, in fact it has become very normal since during the past 10 years 100 reporters have lost their lives in Iraq and no one has brought their killers to justice.
