Khalid al-Nasseri, Moroccan government’s spokesman emphasized that the Iranian regime’s measures against Morocco harm their honor and sovereignty, BBC, Arabic Language, reported.
BBC added: “The decision of Morocco for severing ties with Tehran’s regime has two reasons; one is political reason and the other is the activities of Iranian regime’s diplomatic delegation in that country; Morocco accuses the Iranian regime for having targeted Morocco’s religious infrastructure and harming ideological and religious unity of that country. Morocco emphasized that the Iranian regime tries to engage religious propaganda in Morocco and flare up sectarian strife.”
