More displaced people from Douma reach north Syria

Orient net, April 10, 2018 – Fourth convoy carrying the forcibly displaced opposition fighters and civilians from Douma reached the al-Bab city in north Syria’s opposition-held areas on Tuesday (April 10), Orient News correspondent reported.
Around 7650 people, including opposition fighters and patients, have left eastern Ghouta’s Douma so far, since an agreement was reached between Jaysh al-Islam, the Syrian opposition faction in hold of Douma city, and the Russian side.
Negotiations with Russia broke down after Jaysh al-Islam fighters refused to leave Douma, evacuating only civilians and patients, our correspondent said.
Forced displacements from Douma resumed after Assad regime, backed by Russian aircraft, intensified assault on the city, including a deadly chemical attack on Saturday that killed at least 42 civilians, including many children and women.
