German Chancellor Angela Merkel objected to the Austrian government for its continued trade relations with the Iranian regime and not complying with broader sanctions against this regime.

According to German press, this objection was put forward in a meeting between Merkel and Austrian officials.

Merkel warned the Austrian officials in one of the sessions : Vienna is going o establish a dangerous tradition by making contract between OMW, the Austrian state-run company, and the Iranian regime for developing oil and gas fields.
