German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Tuesday her country is ready to accept another 40,000 Syrian asylum seekers.
“The German Army is pacing more personnel at the government’s disposal to resolve the problems in the asylum seekers distribution centers,” Merkel said.
“We expect the European Union to take adequate measures to resolve the humanitarian crises in refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq,” she added.
An EU emergency interior ministers’ session on how to divide and house asylum seekers ended without any results on Tuesday.
Various countries believe the root cause of this crisis, being the Assad regime, must be confronted and to put an end to inaction and weak kneed in Europe in sacking the ruthless dictator of Syria.
