A number of members of Italian Parliament as well as deputy minister of Industrial Development and Planning Ministry, in a letter of protest to the Iraqi President, representative of ICRC in Iraq and the command of MNFI forces based in Ashraf, condemned explosion of Ashraf water pumping station. They also expressed their execration of this inhuman act, and called on concerned international bodies to pursue the agents and their commanders in IRGC and Qods force to be arrested and brought to justice. The members of Italian Parliament were:

In their letter MPs also referred to the Fourth Geneva Convention and political refugee status of residents of Ashraf, and warned against any aggression and disposition against them. They also called on concerned international bodies to supervise the fulfillment of the laws specified about the rights of Ashraf residents.
