International media outlets have posted numerous articles on the reason why Maliki failed as Iraqi prime minister.

Gulf News in the UAE published an article on why Maliki failed saying he preferred to owe it to Iran on turning Iraq into its own territory. Maliki always maintained very close relations with Qassem Suleimani…without a doubt for all their practical goals this was Suleimani who actually directed Iraq.

National French TV in its website posted an article in this regard saying Maliki made four major mistakes, making everyone hate him. This source described Maliki’s mistakes as:
– Provoking enmity amongst the majority of Iraqis against himself
– Crackdown against those who did not agree with him
– Conflict with the Kurds
– and angering his international allies.

BBC World said many Iraqis expressed their anger against Maliki and considered him as a tyrant.

Bloomberg reported Maliki’s efforts to remain in his post was denied by his own political block. The Dawa Party called on political leaders to reject Maliki and cooperate with his predecessor.

CNN said in an analysis report it appears Maliki has failed using the same tactic he used before to remain in power.
