Senator John McCain said in Washington that the American president who ignored the advice of his advisers to keep the force in Iraq, along with lack of arming the Free Syrian Army and other decisions, led to a situation for ISIS to find a base in Iraq and Syria.
He added: “We are currently facing a more controversial militant organization we’ve ever seen, and we do not have a strategy to confront it, neither a strategy to reduce the momentum of the organization and then eliminate it. There must be the presence of ground intervention, and we understand that Syria and Iraq, both in these efforts need to be arming the Free Syrian Army and the imposition of no-fly zones.”
