In an interview with Al-Iraq al-Yawm daily, Mazen Makkieh, Secretary General of Ansar al-Daawa party, separated from Jaafari Daawa party said: Iran might call the PMOI terrorist or something else, but we consider them an opposition group against a regime.

He said: It is too early to talk about whether we should accept the presence of PMOI in Iraq or not, because they are under international protection according to the international law. I think it is too early for Iran’s president to speak about this issue in Iraq, while Iran’s extensive and terrible influence in Iraq’s governmental organs and its meddling in Iraq exist. This is the main cause for instability and insecurity and pains in Iraq.
