
Maliki’s government in Iraq carried out group executions, hanging 11 individuals in two phases.
“The ruling for the execution of 11 individuals in Iraq, consisting of 10 Iraqis and one Algerian was carried out,” said Al-Jazeera TV citing Maliki government officials.
“The execution sentences were carried out in two phases. First 8 detainees and then the remaining three were executed,” sources inside rhe prison said.
“Numerous Arab and international human rights organizations had called on the Iraqi government to not carry out these executions,” Al-Jazeera added.
