Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki threatened to use force if protesters continue rallies and demonstrations, Al Jazeera TV reported.
“I warn al-Anbar sheikhs, professors, dignitaries and other Iraqis. Don’t tell me this is a national matter. I am not worried because it is all worthless and won’t last long. We have told them to stop these demonstrations before the government forces them to stop. You have been heard and enough is enough,” Maliki threatened.
Maliki’s critics say he is directing the country down the wrong path and his policies have brought an end to any hope for sharing power, the Al Jazeera TV reporter said.
