Kurdistan Regional Government President Massud Barzani issued a ruling announcing from now on the term ‘separated Kurdish regions outside the State’ will be used instead of the term ‘disputed regions’.
“All ministries, official and non-official entities are obligated to carry out this ruling,” he said in his statement.
In other news, Nouri Maliki issued a statement degrading and downplaying Massud Barzani’s decision. According to a report aired by Iraqi government television, Maliki warned any approach or action outside this framework will face the strongest possible legal accountability.
