Nouri Maliki recently dispatched a delegation to Amar al-Hakim’s National Alliance informing the possibility of his final departure from the National Alliance,Asharq Al-Awsat reported citing close sources to Maliki.
These sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, emphasized this delegation was led by high-ranking Dawa Party official Abdul-Halim al-Zoheiri, who is also one of the founders of this party, Asharq Al-Awsat added.
It is stated in the text of the letter al-Zoheiri presented to Hakim’s Alliance that Maliki will reach an agreement with the Iraqiya bloc to form government.
