In an interview with Al Jazeera TV, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Saleh Al-Mutlak said Nouri Maliki has seized control over all of Iraq’s entities.
“You can bring anyone for an interview before a camera, they won’t talk,” he said.
“If they do talk, they will be arrested… To go to court, they have to pay or else there will be no trial and they will remain in jail for the next ten years,” Al-Mutlak continued.
“Iraq cannot become Iran, in which just one party and one person rules based on sectarianism,” he added.
Al Jazeera: In Iraq there are many political parties, elections are held, ministries controlled by different people. This is not a dictatorship?
“Who is controlling the Defense Ministry? Who is controlling the Interior Ministry? Who is on top of the Intelligence Ministry? Who is controlling all the security and military entities of this country? All these bodies are under the control of one person,” the Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister added.
