Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabani, Lebanon’s senior Sunni clergy, condemned Ahmadinejad’s meddlesome remarks in Lebanon’s elections and called it flagrant meddling in Lebanon’s internal affairs, reported International Asharq al-Awsat daily.

The daily wrote: In a meeting with Mulham Karam, chairman of the Reporters’ Syndicate, Lebanon’s senior Sunni clergy said: Ahmandinejad’s words that ” Victory of the opposition in the Lebanese Parliamentary elections will change the region’s conditions” is flagrant meddling in Lebanon’s internal affairs.

He added: Lebanon will not accept to become a passage for deterioration of security in the region and change of its situation. Any meddling by the Iranian regime is unacceptable to us.
