Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam said all people across this country have the right to demonstrate, emphasizing the necessity to hold accountable those who have used force against Beirut demonstrators.
“The people are not just facing a trash crisis. In fact, they are facing political trash crises such as corruption and bribes,” the Lebanese premier said.
Salam held political groups responsible for lacking a legislative branch in the country and holding the presidential elections in a limbo.
He threatened to resign from his post if the parliamentary session he has called for is not held this coming Thursday.
